Krofft
You are hopefully aware that Sid and Marty Krofft sued McDonald's for plagiarism and won. But today I learned that on Marty Krofft's office wall was a framed letter from McDonald's complaining about a $15,000 quote, alongside a copy of the judgment check for a million dollars:

A pub I used frequent had a framed letter on the wall: the man - a Jesuit priest named Francis Browne - who took the last pictures of (and on) the Titanic wrote to the White Star Line to ask if he could publish the pictures he'd taken. The letter was the response from the company indicating that they'd prefer if he didn't as they hoped the tragedy would fade from the public mind.
