Dear Lazyweb, what's the least awful way to emulate other OSes on M1 Macs, e.g. any recent Linux, and macOS 10.13 x86-32. VirtualBox is nonfunctional under Rosetta.
Also, I'm not going to pay a monthly subscription for software that I need to run like three times a year, so bear that in mind.
Update: So, I am taking from the comments below that the answer is, "What you want cannot be had for love or money." Cool, cool.
