On a scale of 1-10, how much in the USA did you think you were in taking these photos?
USA is Underground Service Alert of Northern California and Nevada, an association of utilities that operates the call before you dig service in San Francisco. The white markings show the area proposed to be excavated.
Every so often, I see a particularly sad or wrecked street tree in San Francisco and mutter "Friends of the Anemic Twig" to myself under my breath.
"This is such a beautiful city. Why are there no trees?"
Looks like somebody turned on presentation type debugging in the city
Someone needs to try painting random words on other slabs to see what they are replaced by. So far f: Tree -> (tree, USA)
This is not a before and after. This is urban Ceci n'est pas une pipe: both squares have a tree, and neither square has a tree.
They didn't line up the square with the existing left/right saw cuts in the sidewalk.
But they did line up with the top/bottom saw cuts.
