Many people were frustrated with the special effects being largely CG on the final cut. What a lot of people don't know is that practical versions for almost all the effects were made and many even shot first! However, many were replaced entirely by CG for the release.

    Cool.

    Sad that they ultimately went with F/X whose "quality" was on par with their script.

    Digital effects typically cost more or at least as much as doing things practically. Did they needlessly double their fx budget or half-ass it on the digital?

    I barely remembered that they made this, much less bothered to watch it.
