My first thought looking at these photos was that XScreensaver's "Pipes" option became sentient and took over a 3-D printer.

One of the many good things about the coming energy/climate apocalypse is that, in its aftermath, places like this will be available very cheaply, and I will be able to live out my declining years living a life of isolated splendour in one. Yes, of course it will be full of awful carcinogens, no, I won't care: at the advanced age I will then be it won't matter.

I realise that at least one famous cyberpunk novel takes place in such an environment: that doesn't make it undesirable.

      I dunno, seems drafty.

'Drafty' is a prerequisite for the home of any self-respecting ancient noble family. What kind of mountain fastness has heating, anyway? Sounds like the kind of terrible pastiche Trumphe-who-must-not-be-named would build. Probably with gold plate everwhere.

We are Big Oil. Your civilization's energy needs will be assimilated and provided by us. Renewable energy is Futile.

    That’s some serious Kojo Moe.

I build event-driven architecture like this. The vision's clean, but attaching all those pipes is distinctly non-polynomial time.

    K3n.
