   If you like this then you'll really like The Musee de l'Automate in Souillac, France. Automatons like this were all the rage a century ago as storefront displays. Some inspired freak collected and repaired the devices culminating in the museum. If I can dig up a photo of the workshop, I'll post it here. A strange Frankenstein laboratory with various body parts from humans and animals hanging from the wall.

   Sounds like a great project for a Pi or Arduino.

   Except make the monkey 5 feet tall, and capable of walking around restaurants autonomously.
