   Hey, parking in a major city is expensive.

   Just say the plane is transporting church parishioners and traffic cops will look the other way at all the double-parking in the middle of the road.

   (But seriously, it's a pretty sweet landing until the plane nicks the SUV in front of it - and even that looks to have caused no major damage.)

     if it'd been the 101 the plane would have been fine as it skipped across the top of a long line of parked teslas.

   Back in the 80's my dad built an airplane in our garage and emergency landed it on a net-yet-open chunk of freeway. He mostly had to dodge construction equipment so it was not as cool as this. Also not as cool, the next week or so of high school after your nutty dad was on all the local news broadcasts that night.

   On the other end of the spectrum, we have lost motorists in passenger cars interrupting race cars on a race track, twice in the last month, at Interlagos. A Mini and a Mercedes SUV, both ones you'd expect to see lost or doing something foolish on public roads, for extra points. The videos are priceless.
