Update 1, June 22: Meet the two women who caught the mountain lion in San Francisco. Heartwarming!
Update 2, July 4: Mountain lion that roamed SF streets killed by vehicle in Pacifica. Oh, come on!!!
The young male mountain lion had a tracker, enabling authorities to confirm it was the same animal they had released in San Mateo County just two weeks ago.
This timeline sucks.
Jesus. As far as animals are concerned, an abandoned street means the opening scene of a post-apocalyptic film, like The World, The Flesh, and The Devil or I am Legend (hopefully without the dodgy CGI and narratively compromised ending).
Holy shit - he was busy!
via the Chronicle: "3 marsupials found dead at SF Zoo, a mountain lion cub is a suspect"
So glad they were able to catch it. Hopefully when they release it it'll turn left instead of right and go down the peninsula instead of up.
