Blade Runner Model Shop

So many greeblies.

I'd seen a lot of photos of the Blade Runner models, but I don't think I ever noticed this hover-truck! Did it make it in to the movie? It's not the same model as the ship from Space Truckers, but I had to check.

Also these close-ups of the Spam Blimp are pretty great:

Is it a hover truck? All the wheels imply it's land based (but then the spinners have wheels too...).

Yeah, look at the pic of it's underside -- it seems Spinner-like.

I dunno. This spinner has all kinds of jets and nozzles on the bottom:

The truck underside has some serious rubber (30 tires!) but no nozzles:

I guess these nozzles on the side could be seen as providing some kind of lift, but I kinda suspect they're used more for venting the tank contents into the rivers of Los Angeles:

I want to believe that it's a hover truck though. I really do.

And they say that you're hard to shop for, Jamie?

Didn’t Leon slam Deckard into a full sized version of the hovertruck early in the movie?

The San Diego garbage scene from the sequel, maybe?
