Well those are far less sinister.
This reminded me of the flying creatures scenes in the AES+F film "Inverso Mundus" (trailer at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_oWMdi6c-9c). (I saw snatches of this at an art festival last fall, along with some of their other films, all worth checking out.)
I see the sequel to Birdemic somehow got more (any) funding than the original.
Now I just need to find one for the Cthulhu 2020 presidential campaign.
