It's a nice touch that the demolition company is named "Brown and Mason", or as the hardhats say, "BAM".

Some people have jobs that are way better than mine.

The demolition company are based in my hometown! (It's a shit hole)

I can see why that make you want to get into demolition.
Who am I kidding, I'd love to blow stuff up for a living.

I used to cycle past Cockenzie while it was still in some kind of reserve state and looked after. I asked them if I could take photos inside it because, well, giant machines, but they were too scared of people using pictures for political purposes to let me. Now I'll never be able to.

Unfortunately legal access to mothballed/decommissioned sites is very hard to come by. Only a small fraction of my access requests have been granted. In the USA it is probably motivated by accident liability.

That’s why most of this type of photography is the result of unauthorized UrbEx adventures.

Back in the day, we used to watch Fred Dibnah in a flat cap, watching his fire then knowing the precise moment to run like hell.

Now it's done by people in safety hats and drones.
