Sister Catherine Rose Holzman reportedly "suddenly collapsed and died" during a court appearance related to a case against Katy Perry. [...]
The court case began in 2015 when Katy Perry sought to buy a massive convent from the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. A group of nuns fiercely opposed the deal, deeming Katy Perry an unsuitable owner of these "sacred grounds".
Throughout the case, the nuns stated that they "did not like Katy Perry's lifestyle'. They've also branded her as 'disgusting' and hinted that she would desecrate the convent's sacred grounds. [...]
The nun also quizzed Perry on remarks she had made about 'selling her soul to the devil' when she moved from Christian music into mainstream pop. [...]
The eight-acre estate in Loz Feliz, Los Angeles was bought in 1961 by Catholic philanthropist Sir Daniel Donohue. Soon after, his son committed suicide on the property.
In 1969, the house adjoining the property was the theater of a horrific murder at the hands of Charles Manson and his followers.

Some nuns are awesome people who work hard to make the world a better place. Others, not so much.
I'm not sure that not wanting to sell your Manson Nunnery to Katy Perry necessarily makes you a bad person...
Referring to a place as 'sacred grounds' when a murder and suicide happened there might make you a weird person, but bad? No.
Saying that Perry is a satanist because she took part in a wiccan celebration puts them in the "crazy stupid neoconservative" branch of the Catholic Church in my book.
Whereas others prefer to simply take in the rich tapestry of weirdness with which we seem to be gifted.
I mean, the Florida brain worms have been slowly taking over the country since late last century, but it seems like they've achieved a full takeover.
It's a miracle!
Why would a convent be a "sacred place"?
Why would any place be sacred?
Rites of consecration. Just like any other convent. It's a thing that Catholics do.
Those LA nuns should relax and learn a little from their European sisters. I’ve stayed in several former convents converted into hotels or hostels. Including this one in Breda where rooms are decorated with photos of models made up as sexy nuns.
And the Lord hath spoken.
He wants you too, Malachi...
