   How did they get those cool light patterns to show up on the bridge during the daytime as well?

     I think it's the shadow of the tower falling on the cables in the background. Or possibly a moire effect, but it's in the right place to be a shadow.

       Sorry for the whoosh. The whispy white clouds on the blue background, so unusual near the bay bridge, have a pattern similar to the lights at times.
