I never did understand the US obsession (and it really does seem to be an obsession) with Halloween. Everyone seems to go utterly crazy and over-the-top with decoration and events, more so than Thanksgiving or Christmas.
We're very repressed over here. Halloween allows us to be less concerned about propriety and taboo in a socially sanctioned way.
Why can't you guys be "normal" and go crazy-go-nuts about a bronze age schizophrenic being nailed to a tree?
I understand people here do that too.
They also really like it when the guy runs and the ball moves.
