I heard the (political-at-the-network) thing that killed it was their refusal to do a 'Carpool Karaoke with James Corden'.

P.S. Ofc I'm making this up, aiming for humour. James Corden's gristle, blood and humour.
P.P.S. Sometimes we make jokes that transgress -- please don't kill anybody -- I live among Europe-resident people who have running jokes about how offensively bland Corden is. Failing to spot humour is crucial to the cancellation of Blood Drive.
I really enjoyed this show. It was nuts, and owned it hard. It's too bad we can't have nice things.

Glad I saw that much! It'll catch on as E.R. fare, though. Maybe they'll bring back the 'Trams Gone Mad' thing from the 1870s. 'What happened to the Draft Horses/Chickens/Pugs/Monkeys/Ceramicists?'
