Foul

This quote has been haunting me recently:

"One side, our side, sees a foul as being against the rules, and if you do it too many times you have to be removed. The other side sees fouls as things you're allowed to get caught doing twice, and if you don't, you aren't trying hard enough."

"So you're mad at Jimmy because you think his side cheats at life."

"Partly. Mostly I'm mad because I'm pretty sure his side is going to win."

Sex pigs halt traffic after laser attack on Pokémon teens

The waterwheel in Insjön where the couple were seen having sex.
Headlines from the future.

Tiny Insjön in central Sweden isn't known for pig mask-wearing couples shooting lasers at Pokémon hunters before having sex by a waterwheel. But that could be about to change.

The teenagers' mother, who reported the incident to the police, told newspaper Dalarnas Tidningar:

"They wore rubber masks depicting pigs' heads and they started screaming and waving a green laser."

A laser beam hit one of the teens in the face and the children rushed back home, shaken but luckily unharmed.

The masked shooters, who also wore T-shirts labeled 'King' and 'Queen', were next spotted by incredulous motorists as they had sex beside the hamlet's waterwheel.

Maple Heist 2016

$10K reward offered in $150,000 maple syrup heist

The 20,000 litre-batch of maple syrup was supposed to be shipped to Japan last Thursday, but Mexuscan Transport had been forced to store the shipment at the holding facility due to a delay.

Police recovered the trailer in the west Montreal borough of Saint Laurent, but the maple syrup was gone.

Although the theft could prove costly for Mexuscan, it's not the sweetest heist ever pulled off in Quebec. That distinction belongs to the massive maple syrup heist of 2011-2012, in which 2.7 million litres of the stuff were stolen from a warehouse in Quebec. The syrup was estimated to be worth $18 million. More than a dozen individuals were later arrested in the case.

God Told Me To Park Here

SFMTA 'Leans Toward' Formalizing Illegal Sunday Double Parking For Churchgoers

The SFMTA is set to decide on Tuesday whether or not to formalize the currently illegal practice of churchgoers every Sunday turning the Mission's Dolores Street into a parking lot. The Examiner reports that despite wide community opposition to the practice, officials are on the verge of approving a 12-month pilot program that would make the practice legit.

"I suspect we'd lean toward a pilot," chairman of the SFMTA Board of Directors Tom Nolan told the paper. If approved Tuesday, the program would essentially be an official seal of approval for the current state of affairs.

This news is sure to frustrate neighborhood residents, who in a fall 2015 survey overwhelming voiced their disapproval of the church double parking: 75 percent of survey respondents opposed the current state of affairs, and 74 percent of area residents supported completely banning median parking on Sundays.

Dallas Police Want to Suppress Bomb Robot Evidence That's 'Embarrassing'

"This whole thing kind of bums us out", they did not add.

The Dallas Police Department is trying to suppress all evidence it has relating to its use of a bomb robot to kill the man suspected of killing four police officers at a Black Lives Matter protest last month. It has asked the Texas attorney general to allow it to withhold information that is "embarrassing" and has said that much of the evidence is "of no legitimate concern to the public."

Siberian Heat Wave Anthrax!

Tundra ablaze as reindeer carcasses infected with deadly anthrax are incinerated

The disease spread from the awakening of frozen 'zombie bacteria' in either a reindeer carcass or human corpse due to the warm summer and thawing permafrost.

The first aerial pictures of the burning of infected reindeer carcasses showed the major military operation underway to halt the spread of an outbreak that has killed one person, a 12 year old boy, and left 115 in hospital.

The operation to destroy 2,349 reindeer that died from anthrax is being carried out by the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection Units of the Central Military District.

Major General Valery Vasilyev, of the Chemical Corps of the Defence Ministry, said: 'We are building up our capacity every day. We have developed the technology of destruction of dead animals. It is carried out in two steps.

'The first is the creation of a high-temperature combustion field that guaranteed to kill anthrax. The temperature which destroys the spores is 110 degrees Celsius, more safely 140-150 degrees Celsius.

'We are bringing the temperature up to 400-500 degrees Celsius. And after burning we disinfect the area with bleach. It is the second blow to the anthrax, guaranteed to destroy it.'
