   Reminds me of a much better version of Clay Fighter, which was a good idea poorly executed. Several times.

   Maybe I didn't check the previously links thoroughly enough, but this reminded me that the pixel art in the Doom series is based on real sculpted models, because that's how you made "realistic" 3D in those days e.g. https://imgur.com/gallery/9p9Lu has a few photographs of the Doom 2 models but you can find discussions for other pre-GL games where the sprite artists are working from photographs of co-workers in costumes, or modifying plastic model kits and then working from those.

     Oh, you KNOW which graphic I mean.

     (Surely not another one of Romero's girlfriends?)
