Star Trek movies (ships only)

These are quite soothing, but I think they would have been better if the music and dialog was also replaced with nothing but engine noises and foley.

For best results, hit play on them all at once. It really gets going about a minute and a half in.

Just last week I cut out the "Look, it's the Enterprise!" scene from the beginning of Star Trek: The Motion Picture for my 2-year-old son. I thought it'd be neat to have just the ship scenes from the movies -- and here they are!

I made the mistake of choosing Star Trek III. "Enterprise, Enterprise, Enterprise goes inside. Enterprise, Enterprise. Enterprise goes outside. Enterprise! OHHHHH NOOOOOOOOO!"

Luckily I stopped the movie right as the bridge was being destroyed. I told him the Enterprise is okay and there was just a small fire.

If you think about it, the ship always gets the short end of the stick in every Star Trek movie. Let's review:

I: New ship has bugs in it.
II: Ship gets the crap beaten out of it by Khan.
    III: Ship gets blown up.
IV: There's no Enterprise in this one, except right at the end, but the Klingon Bird-of-Prey crashes into San Francisco Bay.
V: New ship has bugs in it. Again.
VI: Ship gets the crap beaten out of it by Klingons, including taking a torpedo through the saucer section.
Generations: Enterprise-B gets the crap beaten out of it by the Nexus. Enterprise-D...half of it gets blown up, the other half does a crash landing.
    First Contact: Ship gets assimilated.
Insurrection: Ship gets the crap beaten out of it by the Son'a.
Nemesis: Ship gets the crap beaten out of it by the Romulan guy, including losing the entire front of the bridge.
Reboot Trek: Ship got the crap beaten out of it by whoever the bad guy was in that movie (I forget).
Into Darkness: Never saw it, but I'm pretty sure the ship got the crap beaten out of it there, too.
I'd hate to be the Enterprises' insurer...
