I am doing everything in Python now because Apple is letting Kivy apps into the iOS store. Copy and paste between text editors and across line endings is slightly less terrible than I expected, but I'm sure it will get me soon enough. Everything else has been slightly to mildly pleasant, except why does the date parser not live in an official library but I guess that's okay because it understands international politics in the timezone library, which I need. Unicode is baked in as well as it is in JavaScript (which in other news got a read method for readable streams just a year ago.) It's not as concise as Perl but it isn't as write-only or uninheritable.
