YouTube's new commenting system is using frames and currently breaks Herp Derp. I have no plans to bring it back in the near future.
From my estimates Herp Derp was downloaded 30,000+ times!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
*sigh*
What difference does it make? The comments all say "herp derp" all the time anyway, no plugin needed
Well, for one, it helps eliminate spoilers on videos. I've seen some where the top-rated comment that ended up right below the video spoiled the entire video for me.
R.I.P. Herp Derp, you were one of my favorite plugins of all times, and saved me so much stress.
I also thoroughly enjoyed how confused people were when they watched YouTube videos on my computer, trying to figure out why everyone was writing nearly identical gibberish comments. (Nearly all of them thought it was hilarious when I explained it was just an extension.)
Odd, seemed to me everyone on Youtube was making nearly-identical gibberish comments even before the plugins to eliminate comments.
Sure, but it was weaponized nonsense, demanding brain cycles from me to parse their gibberish while offering nothing in return.
Herp derp is just... jolly.
I am heartbroken.
I miss that plugin...
Since it is no longer possible to comment on YouTube without connecting it to your Google+ account, the comments are now basically useless anyway. People who have something meaningful to say are prevented from saying it anyway.
An extension to simply remove comments is far more useful and easier to do.
Requiring people to sign up for the Plusterfuck before letting them comment on youtube videos has roughly the same effect as HerpDerp did, although I certainly miss it style-wise.
No more Herp Derp on YouTube. And the internet just got a little dumber.
Comment Snob doesn't work either. I am sad.
