I don't know who Charlie XCX is, but I don't hope that the set he doesn't do isn't not great at the RNA Lounge.

The Vienna Teng tour I saw last night in Boston hits the Independent (twice) on November 16. May not be your cup of herbal tea, but then again she does have a song from the point of view of a marketing database.

Kate Boy, who did nine (9) songs, all great. Their first album will be fantastic!

The Naked and Famous, who might have played well, but unfortunately, the sound guy was a moron: Backing vocals were twice as loud as the lead singer. There was no midrange. Remember the guitars on "Hearts like Ours" and how they were the best part of the song? Yeah, couldn't hear them. Thank god they made up for it with bass hum. Those 10' by 20' speaker stacks weren't lugged around for nothing! Worst sound balance I've ever heard ever. It's like they don't know what soundcheck is for. And I was standing next to the soundstage. Sadly, CHVRCHES is going to be in the same venue.

Upcoming: MS MR, Haim, White Nothings, Silversun Pickups, the Joy Formidable, The National, et cetera ad naseum. It's going to be a good weekend!
