I stood around looking like a dork from around 1:30 to 2:15, and they were fixin' to get ready to load the cutter head onto the crane, when they took it away on the truck. Apparently they ran out of headroom down in the hole, and now there's a lot of thinking and fussing going on down there, which I couldn't get close enough to see.
Construction projects: always like this.
Maybe if I'm still awake in a few hours I'll roll back down there and check in, but I doubt I will be.
I stood around looking like a dork from around 11:30 till 1:30 when I realized the cutter head wasn't going down. Hopefully they've fixed their problem and it will go in tonight. They had a photographer there last night so hopefully he'll be back and get shots of the cutter head going in. He must be the guy who took the shots on the blog. It didn't look like much from the side sitting on the truck. I'm sure it will look a lot more vicious when its vertical.
What's he building in there...
I missed it too. But the next part is the teeth!
Let me know if you get word of when that's happening...
The @MomChungtheTBM tweeter account says tonight!
As of 10:30pm there was no sign of the cutting head, but I did see the Segment Erector.

Sounds like there's a chance the cutting head will be sitting in the staging area all day today.
