    I occurred to me the other day that these are probably actually easier for computers to decode than humans. They're the anti-captcha.

      Since the rotation is done client-side, yeah. The characters are all right there. It's a joke, son.

        Oh, I get the joke, I was just thinking out the ramifications if someone implemented this unironically. Hell, put a ñ or a ç in a captcha and you'd eliminate upwards of 95% of your English speaking audience. Somewhere between manaña and full on Unicode the balance would shift.

        Just pondering the implications of character recognition, is all.
