I remember seeing Storm Large play at DNA Lounge! It was the show that was videotaped and broadcast on Locals Only or something. I still have a VHS tape of that broadcast, somewhere. I no longer have a VCR hooked up to a TV to play it, though. (I DO still have a working VCR, it's just not hooked up to anything.)
I saw her play at Folsom Street Fair, too. It was funny how she was remarking about the latex clothing she was wearing, and had obviously never worn latex before.
She was on the second season of that Rock Star reality TV show, after the first season found that weak replacement lead singer for INXS.
That was our second-ever live show! It's on the tubes. She is completely badass.
Mmmm-yess! I first saw her fronting Flower SF, once at Duboce Park and once... somewhere else ("Reply hazy, try again."). Wish I'd known she was going to be at Red Devil Lounge.
Thanks for the videos link!
I'm only familiar with her song "Eight Miles Wide", which is itself enough to merit trying to see a live show. :D
