When a gig is at DNA, I shoot it with a real camera and post a gallery on dnalounge.com (e.g.) Gigs elsewhere result in one or two iPhone shots here, mostly for offline-brain purposes.
It's true that we have almost no live shows at DNA.* That's because I can't hire a talent buyer to save my life. Part of the reason that hiring for that job is hard is that we have weekly (profitable) dance parties every Fri and Sat, so I have to tell the talent buyer, "you can only have weeknights, but you also have to get 200+ people to break even." I suspect that anyone who actually knows what they're doing sees that as a sucker bet.
*I'm rudely not counting our monthly "Battle of the Bands", but there's only so much high school metal I can listen to.
I knew there was a reason I wanted to be jwz when I grew up...
It's true, I pioneered "attending gigs!"
T/F? You bought the DNA Lounge so to never have to pay to see the bands you like.
1. Most expensive back-stage pass ever!
2. It's not clear that most / many / any of these gigs are at the DNA... At least I remember jwz complaining to that effect, more than once.

I like that song that samples “Let Me Go.”
Great legs!
Thanks, I work out.
Aaaahahaha. Creep.
To "Alex". Not jwz.
