At first I really enjoyed this sort of thing, but now I'm finding it a bit like cultural junk food - take one iconic scene, drop in a star wars reference, instant hipster cred but no staying power. Too easy and overdone. I never thought I'd say it but I am sick of stormtroopers.
I blame Frank Kozik. He created the seminal image started it all.
To properly translate from the Star Wars universe, shouldn't it be a rebel soldier? Or even Admiral Ackbar. After all, the Empire lost, so the feeling of celebration in the original isn't properly conveyed with a stormtrooper.
Or is this geeky nitpicking?

I know what you mean, but on the other hand, I will continue eating potato chips until the bag is empty.
I talk a big game but I still clicked, didn't I.
All it needs is a photo bomb ;)
