I am somewhat fond of this ICP video. I kinda want to live on the set. The backing track is interesting. The lyrics are so over the top, they reset the odometer and settle in somewhere around absurd and goofy.
I actually have a bit of respect for these guys. while most of their music is terrible and most of their fans are (at best) obnoxious as hell, they have managed to build a pretty sizable empire/community from the ground up. They also seem to be fairly concerned with fostering that sense of community amongst their fans. It's hard to say how much of that is for pure commercial gain, and how much is legitimate concern. Granted, the ad for their giant festival a few years ago is pretty silly https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nNe11E_KiAk But they still managed to create this whole juggalo ecosystem out of literally nothing. There was really nothing like it before they came along. As absurd and/or annoying as juggalos may be, ICP managed to create something that resonated with a lot of people. Hell, the idea that Coolio (who many a Gen-Xer may remember Used to Be Somebody) would be sucking up to them to gain fans, says something.
you know, that thought never really crossed my mind until i read that couple paragraphs at the bottom there, but you do have a point. i think i might actually respect them more now. even if i can't take their music or fans seriously, it is a pretty impressive thing to single-handedly create a large scene that actually seems tight knit, isn't it?
ROFL!
I keep pronouncing that "huGAHlo" in my head.
"I command you to play with it!"?
That must have been what the artist was thinking.
I have a dirty secret to confess.

And then they did an inexplicable cover of that old Sly Fox hit, which is kinda neat

I am shocked, shocked that you appreciate something with creepy clowns in it.

And then there's the Juggalo science education..
Recently, some awesome people from Noisebridge had a Juggalo Science Fair.
That's kind of excellent.
