Wow! The tri-wheel control is simple and wonderfully clever. I bet thousands of robotics engineers are asking themselves why they didn't think of it first.
Now I am wondering how much harder than this balance metastability of the lateral axis of a unicycle is. I guess the main problem is if you start tipping over laterally on a unicycle, you have a limited amount of momentum to try to bring yourself back up, whereas this thing can just keep spinning in any direction.
