That was my plan anyway. After watching what's going on with education in this country, I don't want to be around when the kids in school today are running things.
(btw, the "there's no accounting for taste" was an observation about me, not you.)
I would really dig on recent/new musical where I can actually remember and hum the songs because they are so well composed.. Some badly composed music with people singing their standard dialog is just not that compelling most of the time.
For weeks after subjecting ourselves to that particular delight, my friends and I would break into song SHYYYYYLOOO, WHERE ARE YOOOOOU GOINGGGGG to illustrate perfect moments of meaningless song verse. (Oh, Giles. How far you've fallen.)
It looked like it might have been inspired by Repo: The Genetic Opera (which was awesome by the way), without being an adaptation of that at all.
The both are based on the same source, The Telltale Pancreas, a short story by Eric Garcia.
But it had Anthony Michael Head! And Nivek Ogre! And Paris Hilton! And the gore special effects of SAW! And Italian Carnival atmosphere!
Wait, no, sorry, I'm thinking of the real thing, not this movie, which I knew would suck.
ogre was in the opera? wtf?!
Yeah, he plays Favi.
I can't believe people are talking about how awesome Repo: The Genetic Opera was.
I would be impressed if a ripoff of Repo could actually be worse. Suck, I believe. Worse, that would take effort.
There's no accounting for taste, I guess.
Edit: You see, Repo is the grim meathook future.
If the future is a musical (that isn't West Side Story or My Fair Lady) I want to die young.

My money's on Xenu is Loose! Cower puny Humans as the Dark Prince of the Galactic Federation rains Atomic Death once more upon your Pitiful Planet - The Musical!

I was just about to say just that.

:(
So sad. I'm watching buffy these days, and...it's just sad.
My Buffy education is progressing nicely.
