Webb's picture with the gold cane makes me facepalm - It makes him look not like someone who is siding with a wronged party and working to correct a serious issue, but a guy playing thug dress up as part of a self-aggrandizing role.
It's so very clear that Bertrand and Ott have self-styled themselves as some sort of 2 person thin blue line, and get off on the ends-justify-the-means methods in their "crusade". How sad they must be that this is the only way they can think of to bring meaning to their lives.
I agree, the pimp cane is... distracting from the legitimate point here (and I wish the article made more of the absurd pseudo-charges against DNA rather than legit issues like minors and stabbings elsewhere) but I'm really glad this is finally getting substantive press. Cockroaches hate the light.
They seem to want a lot of laptops. What the heck for?
If they want to illegally seize peoples property for profit they are in the wrong line of work - narcotics has that racket!
Because taking away your floor lamp wouldn't be like pissing on your leg.
I've read your comment like 10 times and it still makes no sense. It may be the wine but all I'm seeing is word salad that happens to make grammatical sense.
Engliz por favor.
They're not doing it because they want the laptop, they're doing it because seizing property is an effective form of harassment. They target laptops in particular, because, like cars, they are often the center of someone's livelihood. They're not doing it for profit, they're doing it to mark their turf, aka territorial pissing.
I think the RICO suit is pretty cool, even if it won't result in any convictions. It certainly gets attention!
Also nice to see some good news in the War on Fun.
"It wasn't a big stabbing," Quan said. As he describes it, some guy had stuck another guy with a box cutter.
So, he'll be running PR for the group, then?
