There's something uniquely special about how tabloids like the Mail lean towards captions of the format, "adverb: short sentence". For in-article sub-heads, they tend to just go with a single word (verb, noun, adverb, who cares?) which often seems to have been randomly plucked from the following paragraph. Maybe it's intended to save the proles all that reading.
