And while I'm being snarky about that, let me follow up with a joke. Scientologist loons were videotaping our protest in Richmond, now I'm kind of afraid of someone putting my face to a name and blackmailing me with the horrible USENET postings I made when I was 15. :/
I wonder what's the earliest possible Usenet post I've ever made... probably in 1996 or something. Thank god all the BBS stuff from years before has not been archived, although sometimes I wish it were... to enter my brain back when I was a teen and see what it was like.
They moved to my town in freshman year of high school to avoid the Church of Scientology. CoS had found the previous Henson home, and would picket outside of it and harass the family and their neighbors.
":(" would be the likely reality seeping back into the sentence ("there's no way she could really be barely legal!"), which of course now depends upon what she really looks like given the claim that the image is photoshopped..
That's shopped. I can tell by some of the pixels and by having seen many shops in my time, and also there's an original out there with natural lighting and where she has about 5 facial piercings.
In the interest of truthiness, I photoshopped it slightly (gaussian blur to make the background less distracting, also making it look like I used depth of field to reasonable effect instead of being a shitty point-and-shooter like I am.)
That girl became the instant poster child for all of this. Also:

I welcome our new C-cup overlords.
You may not want to post her name. Scientologists will stalk her and do nasty personal attacks against her.
Ah yes, the infamous "Melanie" in a gas mask, easy enough to track down!

HAY GUYZ CAN I HAS LEECH AXS???? NEED THE ZERO DAY AND H/P/A/V AND ANARCHISTS COOKBOOK
that was pretty much my entire BBS experience as a teen
Haha, mine would have been silly D&D or V:tM stuff. Or intellectual wankery on topics I had no first-hand experience with.
Good times.
Oh wait. I never played V:tM. I promise. Because I assure you, I don't even get the acronym. No, really.
intellectual wankery on topics I had no first-hand experience with.
We used to discuss what space smelled like.
LOL. Word.
I also would like to tip my hat to you for having such an excellent user icon.
"Dear Sir/Madam,
Fire! Fire! Help me!"
Trust me, you don't want to go there. I've found some from the early 90s that make me cringe... Memory lane is best left behind.
Sort of like (girls) when you find your diary from 6th grade. *wince*
While its in no way an archive of those old bbs posts, it is a fun site for the nostalgic.

and perhaps you can connect with your old sysops..
If your usenet debut was between 1991 and 1996, this may help answering your question: http://usenet-addresses.mit.edu/
It could easily be worse than that. This is the father of a high school friend of mine: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keith_Henson

You know not how hardcore these guys are at ruining the lives of identified critics of their business.
It's not her real name. Go to the ED post on it and scroll down to the Sydney section.
OT: Your LJ Icon is Win.
Rule 34.
Oh, it's out there, but I'd feel a little odd about deliv'ring it.
They're working some magic with lens flare though.
He may, but I don't.
Lol. They work quick.
I've been waiting to find out she looks like a Predator when the gas mask comes off all day. Internet, don't let me down.
No such luck.
you ruined christmas for everyone
*whistles*
She could be barely legal.. :(
":("?

How long before there's a "Tom Cruise Can't Fly" tshirt on cafe press?
HOLY GOD I LOVE YOU.
Truly, the CoS and 4chan deserve each other.
epic win
I do believe your icon may top mine.
Is your icon from a movie?
I see!
The moral of this story is to never smile.
CREEEEPY!
Aren't you glad you asked, now?
Damn, I wish I'd known about the protests in advance. They even had a small one here in Scotland I could have gone to: http://news.scotsman.com/latestnews/Masked-protesters-hike-up-pressure.3763138.jp
That article reads a bit too much like an advert for the CoS, though :-(
CoS is very good at playing the victim, which is why I have mixed feelings about the recent lolraids...
