Dentist Claims Breast Rubs Appropriate

WOODLAND, Calif. (AP) -- A dentist accused of fondling the breasts of 27 female patients is trying to keep his dental license by arguing that chest massages are an appropriate procedure in certain cases. Mark Anderson's lawyer says dental journals discuss the need to massage the pectoral muscles to treat a common jaw problem.

Deputy Attorney General Jeffrey Phillips gave Lew three new complaints, including one from a 31-year-old woman who said Anderson fondled her at least six times over two years. She took to wearing tight shirts with high necklines, "and Anderson would still get in under her shirt and bra," according to a police report.

Six times? I dunno, maybe she should have considered something besides a tighter shirt... like say... a different dentist?

I used to have this dentist with a female oral hygenist who was always pushing her chest into me during cleanings. My only complaint was that I couldn't get my insurance to cover 47 dental cleanings a year.

man, in my former life I was a jr psychiatrist. I found that the biggest perverts were anestiesiologists, dentists and plastic surgeons. In that order. It would be difficult for her to find a dentist that wouldn't molest her.

However, speaking as a former lover of a dental professional, there is something about that chair...

Wow. I'd love to see the ADA journal article that says boob-grabs are protocol for TMJ treatment.

I am so gonna quit this geek biz and become a dentist. Hell, I'll even do house calls for TMJ patients.

  4. Six times?

This is exactly the kind of thing you should get a chair-sized aluminum robot to do, in order to avoid misunderstandings.

This was the closest I could find on PubMed:

    [Exercise therapy in E.N.T.]

    [Article in French]

    Leduc A, Decloedt V.
    Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
A non exhaustive survey of physiotherapy methods and techniques in "soft E.N.T. treatment" is briefly described. Without using "strength or brutality" which might retard the patient's recovery, the physiotherapist should focus his efforts to regain optimal functioning of the affected structure. So, physiotherapy techniques such as relaxation, bio-feedback, massage, exercise and electrotherapy, are used for a successful treatment of headache, migraine, vertigo, peripheral facial palsy, neck, cervico-facial (awkward positioning) and temporo-mandibular joint problems. Manual lymphatic drainage in post-surgical regeneration of skin and underlying structures, an example of very soft technique suits perfectly in the context of "soft E.N.T."
