I teach nursery school, thus, I am deeply familiar with this substance. :)

No, we don't offer the kids a pool full. Small tubs will do.

Me too! The harder you hit it, the more it resists. But really slow, and it behaves like a total liquid.

Attacking some with a hammer is unrelentingly satisfying. It shatters beautifully, and the various airborne shards and fragments revert to liquid before they hit the ground.

too bad it would be too much of a liability to do that at the nightclub

In case you haven't seen it, check out Fingers and Holes in a Shaken Cornstarch Solution and then cornstarch lifeform 80hz (links from <lj user="suspect_device1" />).

The best part is i've got access to a cement mixer and the money to blow on cornstarch, and a suitably *larger* container. I think a party will be centered around this with the coolness agumented moreso by dropping some huge waterproofed subwoofers into the vat, and maybe glow in the dark solution and blacklights.
