Banksy has replaced Hilton's CD with his own remixes and given them titles such as Why am I Famous?, What Have I Done? and What Am I For?
A spokeswoman for Banksy said he had doctored 500 copies of her debut album Paris in 48 record shops across the UK. She told the BBC News website: "He switched the CDs in store, so he took the old ones out and put his version in." But he left the original barcode so people could buy the CD without realising it had been interfered with.
No customers had complained or returned a doctored version.
This one's my favorite, though it works best in context.
Is this really all that subversive? I thought Paris Hilton's whole career was about being hateable. Like a bad-guy wrestler, but for People magazine.
They're selling on eBay for £330...

Hence why nobody's complained :D
Meanwhile your icon disturbs the living fuck out of me.
Thanks!
You know, it's a good thing I checked your icons list, because otherwise I'd swear you've got an unhealthy fixation going on.
An unhealthy fixation?
I have no idea what you mean!
Bother!
Never mind...
That's OK, I knew you were being sarcastic.
And yeah, someone needs to take them fucking Ninjas down. They're think they're sooo good!
The ninja threat is not to be underestimated.
I just raised the Ninja Alert level to "black". Be afraid!
"Count von Count" you mean, surely.
too funny!
I have to admit, after hearing about it, I actually thought of buying a paris hilton album, if only for the chance at a Banksy piece.
Man. Talk about your golden fucking tickets. The odds are too remote to try buying one in the hope of getting the "prank" copy, but I would totally want one of that version.
so when I first saw this image, here on your page, I thought the flesh colored lump behind the "A" in her name was some yuck zombie flesh stitched, like bits of Silent Hill 2. Same for the lines going from her neck down to her arm pit, they looked like zipper/stitched, like Bride of Frankenstein or something.
gak.
(looking at the inside cover art I guess it's part of some horrid couch, but it still looks wrong.)
