She's also not the only gubernatorial candidate with a background in the adult industry. Leola McConnell, who's running as a Democrat, is better known to some as "Mistress Lee," a dominatrix (or "domina," as she prefers to be called) who gained some notoriety when she claimed to have spent time with prominent Republican William Bennett. She also recently issued a press release alleging that she personally witnessed George W. Bush perform a "homosexual act" in 1984.
McConnell, who bills herself as a "liberal Democrat," refused to be interviewed for any story featuring Melody Damayo. "I don't seek attention of that kind or even the most remote connection to that in the slightest," she said in an e-mail. McConnell also pulled out of a recent NPR appearance because Damayo was set to appear on the same program.

republicans don't eat their own as much as democrats do, plus the best way to avoid getting beat up by a bully is to appear to be on his side.

Makes sense... candidates in Nevada with backgrounds in adult entertainment would represent a huge percentage of their voters' own occupations.
Perhaps we were hanging out with the wrong [right?] crowd when we lived there, but literally 2 of every 4 women we met were or had been strippers, escorts, etc. 1 of every 4 was either a teen mom, high school dropout, or both. It was a happy place.
It's too bad that the libertarian wing of the Republican party has lost so much ground to the Jesus freak wing these past few years.

*We're already paying Federal taxes.

11. Remove newly added business tax/license laws on charitable organizations.
*Homeless shelters are being forced to close due to this unfair act.

A politician like that is certainly scandal-proof, or at least any scandal involving sex.
Maybe it's the wave of the future, as politics and porn merge into some unholy amalgam.
