Twelve-year-old Shane Bowman juggles his old heart in Edmonton, B.C., after getting a new one. The hospital allowed him to play with the organ, which weighs 555 grams, almost three times the size of a normal heart.
How did it feel? 'It's slimy,' he said.

I've been watching too much of le Tour.
What's coming immediately to mind is "well, that's a hell of a way to shave off 300 grams."
Given the choice between that and one of my balls, I'd probably go for the balls.
Western Canadians are known for their great barbecues ...
I can't wait until they figure out how to do human head transplants... refer to comic for silliness.
Edmonton is in Alberta (AB).
hooray, the ignorant americans strike again!
never fails to amuse me.
I'm not all too surprised that this is in Canada; hospitals in the United States would make up some excuse to keep old, defective organs trapped in jars of <insert preservative agent here> in a ploy to prevent the spread of <insert disease here>.
Either way, juggling one's heart would be an interesting experience, eh? :)
Actually, they ditch 'em in an incinerator. Pretty sad, considering all the room-filled-with-jars-of-random-organs scenes they're depriving people of.
friend of mine got to poke aroudn a morgure once. with gloves on, was handed a brain "here, squeeze it".
She gets the biggest grin and squeals while recounting that story to people.
also joke, especially for Jess, sho might not get the geekig part, but will get the joke
