How do you do dem quicktime vr in that linux thingy? I have the mplayer mozilla plugin, and it treats it like a regular movie -- and incredibly short movie, at that.

With Crossover. It's kind of annoying, but it mostly works.
I had the same idea to do this, maybe not with QTVR, but some sort of 360 degree display, after I saw my dental x-ray for the first time. But then after looking at it for a bit I just about fainted for some odd reason. My brain just figured out that was a 360 degree view of my head flattened out.
I have heard about other people feeling light headed too after seeing a 360 dental x-ray.
