dear nytimes: please choke on cock. love jwz.

What's the canonical "cypherpunks" login/password for nytimes.com? It started tossing my cookies today, and the random login generator isn't working either (even with referers blocked.)

I use nytimes4/nytimes and try to spread it around but I'm sure as soon as enough people use it it'll stop working.

Ah, it was a local problem: somehow my Privoxy settings had lost the "allow nytimes.com to have a cookie" bit.

These are the cookies I use, BTW:

      .nytimes.com	TRUE	/	FALSE	1071624218	NYT-S	1882/OSbDU80Vbu5xvEG3Ufuk6E1oJ.FMxgSHaB55S0F0i/Q/guDnLeoL.pe7i1oakSb/VqfdUdb2Uo27Vzt1jmPn3cpYRlTw9
      .nytimes.com TRUE / FALSE 1293839999 RMID d19d8584393b28d0
      .nytimes.com TRUE / FALSE 1055640218 RDB C80200F17D00005553010096FE41450101000000000000
      .nytimes.com TRUE / FALSE 1067572775 lbusinessvisitor 1

That's user ``cipherpunk'' with a password I no longer remember.

I never understood why people get their knickers in such a twist over the times' login requirement...

First off, They are giving content away for free, and it is their prerogative if they want people to login...

Second, and most importantly, how hard is it to create your own fake login?

not sure, I used to use cypherpunk53/cypherpunk53, but that stopped working years ago. I assume they look for multiple user account names and toss them...
