Shudder...The future of non-nuclear warfare increasingly seems to be headed in the direction of motion tracking, automated gun turrets, a variety of surveillance and missile equipped aerial drones and various treaded robots. Did we really need to introduce Cheetah bots into the mix? Granted, this is ONLY 46 km/h and on a flat treadmill, but at the same time, 46 km/h is about 2 km/hour faster than Usain Bolt. At this point, I'm just trying to figure out if the future will be more Screamers or Terminator. Anyone want to give me odds on a military sponsored version of something like the Rat Thing from Snow Crash being developed in the next 10 years or so?
