Quite enjoyable, thank you.
Do you know Marina and the Diamonds at all? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S_oMD6-6q5Y It was one of my favorite shows of last year, really energetic. I was probably the only straight guy there.
I've heard a bit, but she didn't really grab me. I saw her live last year or the year before, and the live show was a bit more in the Tori Amos part of the world than I like.
I know the jwz mixtapes on blogspot isn't you, but since your mixtapes page does mention the ability to google for jwz mixtapes, I thought I'd mention that that page's suggestion to googe for jwz mixtapes is no longer very useful, because the jwz mixtapes on blogspot person hosted the mixtape downloads on megaupload, so they're all dead. (Also three years old, so possibly irrelevant by now anyway.)
Ok so MAYBE that last video clip broke my brain a little... Japanipop overload!
I have to say, your mixtapes are becoming really important sources of new music.
Thanks.
Not sure if you've heard of Music for programming (not affiliated in any way, just find it a good initiative) and was wondering if you'd consider doing a mixtape for programmers. :)
Glad you like 'em! These days the mixtapes don't really have any theme, like the audio mixtapes did. Mostly they're just stuff I've discovered recently, ordered into as close to a coherent flow as I can manage with what I have in the queue...
Finally, a mixtape for those of us who still like "rock" music!
Love love the doppelganger dance sequence in Charlotte Gainsborough's vid!
The San Cisco is also kinda painfully adorable. Alpine and Pony Pony Run Run were enjoyable.
(However: how DID anyone manage to make compelling music videos before the invention of hot chicks? Jeez.)
