Do you ever just sit back and ask where we're going to allow the proliferation of advertisting to stop? It's just distracting from the architecture of so many buildings to have the bottom two stories (or more) covered in signs and advertisements. I know that out there in SF, you see many trends before we do in Asscratch, AL but I mean, Really! is it all necessary?
I personally find it easier just to update my Bullshit Filter™.
It's the information age, one of the most important survival skills we can develop is to ignore bullshit. And well, almost all advertising is Grade A bullshit. If you can't even filter that out, then I really don't fancy your chances against subtle and insidious bullshit.
Yes, and a improperly tuned Bullshit Filter(tm) may also blocked out communications from or about Washington D.C. Then again, that may be a properly tuned filter.
